Diamond Dogs frontman Sulo Karlsson is back with a solo effort and this time he pays tribute to the British sweet soul music that once made such an impact on his own songwriting.
“Love really hurts without you” is a distant classic that out Billy Ocean in top of the charts in 1976.
The well aware flirts with Motown blended with an unmistakable touch of the old blighty it was the perfect floor filler at the nightclubs in the 70’s.
In Sulo’s humble version it’s almost like we’re back where it all started.
Just a little bit more of everything from the heart pounding beat to the irresistible chorus flavored with tremendous soulful backing vocals.
It’s a song that was made for him to sing and for you to dance and sing along.
